E(oe) _ Europa (on empathy)

E(oe) is a film / music duet in which viola player Marie Takahashi improvises live while a real time edit of Yann les Jours’ film on European realities is screened.

For each performance Yann les Jours will screen an ever growing stock of footage, processed following the same visual rule : each frame is multiplied by 14, and sequences are slowed down. The director, who will perform in real time the editing, to create _ in dialogue with Marie Takahashi's improvisations _ a unique version of that film. 

Marie Takahashi will discover the choice of footage at the same time as the audience.
